Meet Dr. Cornelius
Dr. Cornelius has known he wanted to be a dentist since his elementary school days. Through high school, college and dental school he worked as a dental and lab assistant for several preeminent area dental practices.
After receiving a degree in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry from Texas Tech University, he graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry near the top of his class in 1998. After three years of mentoring from some of the finest dentists in the world, he took a leap of faith and started his own practice from scratch. His exposure to these mentors has enabled him to construct a practice that implements the best qualities from each practitioner.
Dr. Cornelius has strong interests in cosmetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry. He has lectured on these topics across the state. He has also attained certification in lnvisalign Invisible Braces, Enteral Sedation (“sleep dentistry”) and Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Cornelius strongly believes in the need for continuing education for himself and for the team. He averages over 100 hours of CE attended each year and was granted the prestigious Fellow status in the Academy of General Dentistry.
In addition to continual professional improvement, Dr. Cornelius is a strong proponent of community service. He is involved with the Keller Christian Community Storehouse, Christ Haven for Children, John Peter Smith Dental Clinic, Save a Smile, Give Kids a Smile, Give Back a Smile for Victims of Domestic Abuse and Texas Dentists for Healthy Smiles.
Dr. Cornelius was voted into “Best Dentists in America,” a publication of leading dentists, by his peers in 2003 and 2006. He is also the past president of the North Central Texas Study Club and has sat on the Dental Advisory Board of Tarrant County College.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Fort Worth District Dental Society, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
When he is away from the office, he enjoys youth activities with his daughter (Allison), son (Garrett) and wife (Mandy). In his remaining free time, you’ll often find him relaxing with his guitar, playing hockey or fishing.
